This hotel dates back to 1846 and was one a stop on the Underground Railroad. Several spirits are rumored to reside here and in room 5, the ghost of a young boy reportedly tugs on people's clothing at night. His apparition has also been seen on the landing. A man named Knapp was murdered in room 7 and his ghost lingers the room. A floating head has been seen in room 8 and in several bedrooms on the third floor, the spirit of an elderly woman has been seen.

I have stayed here several times and at times it is quiet and other nights several experiences are to be had. The place is very inviting and interesting. The history of the building is quite interesting.
