This cemetery has a statue, The Blue Angel, that is part of a legend. It was said that back in the 1950s, the statue was thought of as the benevolent spirit of the cemetery, protecting it from vandals. Tales about the statue have since then become more sinister. She is said to have once held a rose; if you looked at her and she dropped the rose, you were doomed to die. Reports have said her hand was cut off so she couldn't hurt anyone, but at night it apparently is still there, glowing and holding the rose.

  • This is haunted

I was running a little too late in the cemetery last night it got so dark so fast. I felt like i was being watched the last quarter mile to my car. I got inside my car and heard hard running footsteps coming at me. I am not a liar and im most definitely a skeptic. There was no face or skin of any kind it was a black looking shadow man charging my van. I screamed and peeled out yelled that I was calling the police. I thought it was a freak stalking me! I get home and talk more about it in tears and frantic with my family. Im 42 BTW and never have had any paranormal experience. My brother told me people hear howls in there I heard a howl and wondered why a dog was howling. Didn't even think to be frightened by it ... then I was parked by the stairs which my brother said are very haunted. Im still in disbelief but it happened.

  • The Blue Angel

The reason she is missing her hand is due to someone broke into the crypt and stole the hand. I grew up playing in this cemetery as a kid and at that time she still did have her hand holding a rose. On a moon lit night the light would come in through the windows and make her glow a blueish glow. The best time to see her is at night.
