What are you most excited about for the 2024 Halloween Season?

Just the fun of seeing people scream as they have zombies jump on them and attack them in our VR arena experience.

What differentiates Manor of Escape from other local haunts in Iowa?

Our primary focus and what most people have fun doing is zombie survival and we have the most immersive experience since you not only walk around using your physical body, not using a joystick but you are also wearing a Shock vest that makes you feel like you are actually getting attacked by zombies! This is the most amazing zombie VR experience you can have!

How long has Manor of Escape been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Manor of Escape's history?

Virtual Ventures Has been around for over 2 years now. We are a new and emerging form of Family entertainment in the world. We are a family-owned business and has been a dream come true for the owner for a decade now.

What's your favorite experience since opening Manor of Escape?

Our business name is Virtual Ventures. Our best experiences have been the special events and parties we have hosted for many people from Iowa and Illinois.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Manor of Escape from start to finish?

Our typical experience is 30 minutes, but you are more than welcome to book longer events.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Manor of Escape is? Why?

It varies for people, but I know that kids under 10 can't handle it. So whatever scale that falls into...

Does Manor of Escape's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

We are located in an old elementary school but no hauntings as far as I know... but who is going to stay after dark in an old school and find out!?!

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

I love the mix of reality and Virtual and all that you can do with that. I love entertaining people so this is very fun for me.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Manor of Escape?

Just the mix of reality with virtual brings a whole new world or immersion that could never before be done!

Can Manor of Escape accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Manor of Escape together as a group?

Although we have a 600 sq ft arena to play in, we limit to only 6 at a time to avoid crowding and make for a more comfortable experience.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Manor of Escape?

We are the only VR Game Center in 140 mile radius and we are very unquestionably the best private party venue available.
